Disclaimer: Not mine, will never be mine. It sucks but that's just the way things go.
Pyro is and will always be extreme, hell, he plays with fire for fun, what else do you expect?
He’s known since the very start that this will end in tears, one way or another and he hasn’t cared one bit. Mostly because it’s better to live as you want to live than die regretting every little thing you never did.
John has never been the sort of person to blend in; he’s always stood out and always made damn sure that people knew what he thought. Maybe it’s because he spent a large majority being oppressed that now he’s finally free he’s going to make the best of it.
So when it comes down to it, he’s going to do whatever it takes to live and if he dies in the process then oh well, one fatal flaw in his game of life but not that it matters because death’s just the next step.
It’s not that he’s religious, far from it, but John’s sure he’s lived before and he sees no reason why he can’t again.
He’s not afraid of death, has never been afraid of it and sometimes he’s even asked for it because so what if he dies, he’ll come back to do this dance all over again and it’s better he lives his life to the fullest than spend it being afraid and scared.
He’s a mutant in a big bad world, a world that hates his kind and reviles what his species stands for, you’d think he’d want to keep everything under wraps but instead he’s there, in humanity’s face and making them sit up and take notice.
Live well, die free, and go to your grave knowing you didn’t surrender to what society wanted and expected of you and you didn’t substitute your free will for a pat on the back and a gilded cage.
